The role of families
Regarding the role of families in our Club, we understand that they should support their children's activity respecting and not interfering in their practice.
As the emotional bond between fathers, mothers and children is very strong, all the activities, behaviours and opinions weigh and condition the children's sporting practice. Therefore, it is vitally important that families recognise their roles and if they have any doubts, they should contact the coaches and coordinators of the club. The two functions that the Club considers most important are: to guarantee the attendance of their children to training sessions and matches and to give emotional support to their children both in moments of success and of difficulty, avoiding overprotection and providing the encouragement and vision to turn these difficulties into new challenges and opportunities for growth.
For these reasons, especially in the case of matches played at home, we recommend that parents alternate their attendance, thus allowing the child to enjoy his/her sporting activity with more freedom.
From the children's age group onwards, all meetings will always be held with the athletes, as we believe that teenagers are the ones who should make the decisions regarding their own sport.
We would like to inform you that after-school activities cannot be abandoned during the season in which they take place. Therefore, if you approve or contribute to the abandonment of an activity without the decision having been taken in agreement with the person in charge of the activity and the General Coordinator of the Club, you will have to continue paying for this activity until the end of the course. Fortunately, in our Club, cases of capricious abandonment are rare. The constancy and responsibility of the majority of families support this indispensable premise of consistency with the programmes already initiated.
The Club also recommends that it is not advisable to extend the children's stay at school, as the school day is long and it is advisable to go home with the children at this time of the afternoon to do the usual chores with the family.
As we are all aware, current legislation prohibits smoking in all areas of sports and educational centres. We would therefore be grateful if you would be very scrupulous in respecting this rule. This rule also applies to weekend games.
