Conference on, attachment and mental health: keys to raising emotionally healthy children.

Speaker: Núria Núñez Morales

Place: Montessori Palau Girona Auditorium

This conference is intended for all school families and students in 4th-year ESO and Baccalaureate.

During this conference, we will explore the concept of attachment, defining the different types of attachment (secure, insecure-avoidant, insecure-ambivalent, disorganized) and how these are formed in the early years of life. We will analyze how the type of attachment that children develop influences their mental and emotional health throughout their lives, impacting their interpersonal relationships, self-esteem, and stress management.

We will delve into how secure attachment is key to healthy parenting and how parenting styles can foster or hinder this type of attachment. We will also address bullying, highlighting how secure attachment can be a protective factor in preventing children from experiencing abuse or becoming abusers themselves.

Throughout the presentation, specific examples will be provided on how parents can promote secure attachment at home and support the emotional well-being of their children.

Núria Núñez is a psychiatrist specializing in treating disorders that affect the mental health of children and adolescents. She has over ten years of experience in the evaluation, diagnosis and treatment of various mental, emotional and behavioral disorders, actively involving families in the process.

This conference will be held in Spanish.
